Air india Free Baggage allowance for travel from London

Passengers holding tickets for travel originating London effective 22July09 are entitled to the following free baggage allowances for adult and child

London-India (except Amritsar) or London-India (except Amritsar)-London
First Class 60kgs
Executive Class 50kgs
Economy Class 46kgs

London-Amritsar or London-Amritsar-London
First Class 60kgs
Executive Class 50kgs
Economy Class 28kgs

London-Kathmandu or London–Kathmandu–London
First Class 50kgs
Executive Class 40kgs
Economy Class 35kgs

London-Dhaka or London–Dhaka–London
First Class 50kgs
Executive Class 40kgs
Economy Class 35kgs

London–South East /Far East or London–South East/Far East–London
Executive Class 40kgs
Economy Class 32kgs

London-Toronto or London-Toronto-London
First/Executive Class 2 pieces of 32kgs each
Economy 2 pieces of 23kgs each

This allowance is only applicable for tickets issued from London as a through fare (i.e. point to point) to India including domestic points via Mumbai or Delhi on AI/IC. It is not valid for separate sector fares used for travel on domestic India routes.
The weight of one piece must not exceed 32kgs as per EU regulation
The checked in baggage allowance for infants is 10Kgs.
