Air india code share partners

Flying Returns brings you the combined strength of Air India, alliance partners, as well as our code share partners.

As a member you can now earn mileage points on select code-share flights. These mileage points are based on the sector and class of travel.

Reservations must be made on Air India's 4 digit flight numbers only. To accrue mileage points on our code share flights, please retain your ticket jacket and boarding passes and send them to the Member Service Center for mileage points credit.

Please note, only accrual of mileage points is permitted on code share flights, not redemption. The accrual is valid only on specified airlines with code sharing agreements with Air India.

Kingfisher Airlines and American Airlines enter into codeshare agreement

American Airlines and Kingfisher Airlines will enter into a comprehensive codeshare and frequent flyer relationship starting in 2011, subject to regulatory approvals.
The initial phase of the codeshare relationship announced will allow American to place its AA code on Kingfisher Airlines extensive domestic network beyond Delhi. American will also codeshare on Kingfisher Airlines flights from London Heathrow to both Delhi and Mumbai. American operates daily nonstop service between Delhi and Chicago O'Hare and Kingfisher Airlines will place its IT code on those flights as well as on selected American flights between the US and London Heathrow

Members of American's AAdvantage and Kingfisher Airlines King Club frequent flyer programs will be able to earn miles on the codeshare flights. The two airlines are exploring a more comprehensive frequent flyer agreement that will include the ability to earn and redeem miles across each carrier's network.

Air India check- In information

  • For flights out of India check-in would be permitted between 4 hours and 36 hours prior to flight departure. For flights out of New York JFK,Newark EWR,Chicago ORD,London LHR, Hongkong HKG, Dammam DMM,Osaka KIX, Frankfurt check-in would be permitted between 4 hours and 24 hours prior to flight departure. Web Check-In applies only to passengers who hold a confirmed reservation.
  • Following passengers would not be able to avail of the Web Check-In facility and they would have to complete the check in formalities at the airport:- Group bookings for more than 9 passengers, families with infants, unaccompanied minors,passengers with special service requests such as extra seats, pet in hold, stretchers, wheelchairs and passengers requiring medical assistance.
  • It is mandatory to print the Web Check-In confirmation slip, which would have to be presented at the airport along with the travel documents at least 90 minutes before departure. The check in staff will issue the boarding cards and baggage tags after checking the travel documents against this print out. Late reporting cannot guarantee the seat and would be treated as a no-show for the flight.
