Kingfisher Airlines and American Airlines enter into codeshare agreement

American Airlines and Kingfisher Airlines will enter into a comprehensive codeshare and frequent flyer relationship starting in 2011, subject to regulatory approvals.
The initial phase of the codeshare relationship announced will allow American to place its AA code on Kingfisher Airlines extensive domestic network beyond Delhi. American will also codeshare on Kingfisher Airlines flights from London Heathrow to both Delhi and Mumbai. American operates daily nonstop service between Delhi and Chicago O'Hare and Kingfisher Airlines will place its IT code on those flights as well as on selected American flights between the US and London Heathrow

Members of American's AAdvantage and Kingfisher Airlines King Club frequent flyer programs will be able to earn miles on the codeshare flights. The two airlines are exploring a more comprehensive frequent flyer agreement that will include the ability to earn and redeem miles across each carrier's network.

Air India check- In information

  • For flights out of India check-in would be permitted between 4 hours and 36 hours prior to flight departure. For flights out of New York JFK,Newark EWR,Chicago ORD,London LHR, Hongkong HKG, Dammam DMM,Osaka KIX, Frankfurt check-in would be permitted between 4 hours and 24 hours prior to flight departure. Web Check-In applies only to passengers who hold a confirmed reservation.
  • Following passengers would not be able to avail of the Web Check-In facility and they would have to complete the check in formalities at the airport:- Group bookings for more than 9 passengers, families with infants, unaccompanied minors,passengers with special service requests such as extra seats, pet in hold, stretchers, wheelchairs and passengers requiring medical assistance.
  • It is mandatory to print the Web Check-In confirmation slip, which would have to be presented at the airport along with the travel documents at least 90 minutes before departure. The check in staff will issue the boarding cards and baggage tags after checking the travel documents against this print out. Late reporting cannot guarantee the seat and would be treated as a no-show for the flight.

Tele Check-In
If you have a confirmed seat and plan to travel with hand baggage only on a domestic flight, you can Tele check-in for the flights operating on the same day or next day and report at the Tele check-in counter at least thirty minutes prior to the flight departure. (Only for Executive Class & FFP Members). This facility is available in the six metros - Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Chennai, Bangalore & Hyderabad. Passengers can contact either our designated tele check-in numbers or call centre number. We are available on 24x7 basis across India on both Toll Free and paid numbers. Users of service providers such as MTNL/BSNL and Reliance could us on Toll Free number 1800-180-1407.  I-Check-In (Web Check-In)

AIR INDIA (IC) has introduced I-check-in facility (web based check-in facility) whereby a passenger holding E-ticket, Net ticket, Dial-a-ticket or bid-n-fly ticket can check-in on AIR INDIA (IC) website and make selection of his seat on line and print boarding pass in the convenience of his office, residence etc. This facilitates you to report directly for the security check without reporting at check-in counters unless you have baggage to deposit with the airline, for which you are requested to report one hour prior to departure to deposit the baggage. This facility is available for purely domestic flights only for both Economy & Executive Class passengers. Return & onward check-in is also permitted for same & next day departure.

Self Check-In Kiosks
Self Service check-in Kiosks have been installed at select locations / airports to enable you to check-in yourself & obtain boarding pass from the Kiosk machine without interface with check-in staff. This facility is available for purely domestic flights. This facility is available up to thirty minutes before departure time. Through this facility you can select seat of your choice too.

City Check-In
Now you can check-in at the AIR INDIA (IC) city booking office for not just the same day flights but also for the next day.
Only passengers holding confirmed reservations on the flight ex. that station qualify for the same. This facility is available for passengers traveling with only hand baggage. City check-in is permitted up to two hrs. before the scheduled departure time & you should report at the airport at least thirty minutes prior to departure.
This facility is available in the six metros - Delhi, Mumbai, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad & Bangalore for domestic flights only.

Return Check-In
Now you can return check-in if your flight is on the same day or the next. Collect your return boarding card from the originating station and report to the airport just 30 minutes before departure if you're travelling with hand baggage only. This facility is available for domestic flights only.

Through Check-In
You may through check-in from AIR INDIA (IC) to AIR INDIA (IC) domestic & international flights. Similarly this facility is available to you if you are travelling on AIR INDIA (IC) domestic and connecting on to AIR INDIA (AI) (or select other airlines) international flight. In other words you can through check-in along with your baggage up to New York, if you are travelling Kolkata / Delhi / New York. This facility is available on the reverse direction too. Special transfer desks have been established in the arrival halls of major metro airports, where you would be facilitated and assistance provided to connect you on to your next flight. Procedure to avail the facility
  • Contact Airport Manager of respective terminal for allotment (round the clock).
  • Transit passenger with confirmed Airline ticket for onward journey within 24 hour are allotted one bed per person in retiring rooms and dormitory.
  • Not more than two passengers are allowed in two-bedded room.
  • If a passenger has been allotted bed in room with more than one bed, it will be subject to other passengers joining him at any time for which he can have no objection.

Reserved Lounge
Reserved Lounges are provided in each terminal for the listed dignitaries. This facility is strictly as per the entitlement list circulated by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, displayed prominently in each lounge. At International Terminal, Reserved Lounges are located at the following locations.
a) Arrival - East Wing after immigration check. b) Departure - Opposite Airport Manager Office.
Ceremonial Lounge
Airports Authority of India has provided exclusive Lounges for the handling of VVIP movements through IGI Airport. Ceremonial lounges are located at Terminal II and Terminal 1B. Entitlement is strictly as per list circulated by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Lounges
Indian Airlines and Air Sahara have provided exclusive lounges for their club class passengers in Terminal 1A and Terminal 1B respectively. Air India's Maharaja Lounge is located in transit area at Terminal II. Apart from exclusive airline, lounges managed by leading five star hotels are available in transit area, Terminal II.

Chhatrapati shivaji international airport Lost & Found

In case you happen to misplace your baggage or your belongings in any of the terminals at CSIA, please do not worry. All agencies at the airport are expected to deposit any unclaimed goods with the Lost & Found Department through the Terminal Duty Manager. The goods are deposited after duly recording the contents, description, date of deposition and the depositor’s signature.

All lost & found articles are returned to passengers after verifying the product description and bona fides (including, but not restricted to Original Passport, Flight Ticket, Boarding Pass, Driving License, PAN Card, etc)

Valuables like Laptops, Cell Phones, Gold, Cash, Credit Cards, Passports and Travel Documents will be deposited in the safety locker and locker charges and handling charges would apply.

Unclaimed items will be disposed off after 30 days from the date the item was found. Passports will be couriered to respective Consulates (in case of foreign passport)/issuing Regional Passport Office (in case of Indian passport) through Registered Post. Indian Credit Cards will be sent to issuing banks through Registered Post. Foreign Credit Cards will be destroyed for administrative reasons.

Eatables and other perishable items including liquor will be disposed off within 48 hours or within the expiry time (whichever is earlier). Special storage charges and handling charges would apply for the same.

Unclaimed items like clothes and other non-perishable items will be disposed off after 30 days from the date the item was found.

Baggage handling and delivery at CSIA is the responsibility of the airlines from the point of check-in to the point of collection. If anything is left on an aircraft or an airline bus, respective airline should be contacted immediately.

Storage & handling charges will be levied for all Lost & Found items.

This facility is managed by Trident Flight Handlers.

The operating window to claim your items left behind at the terminal is between 10:00am to
10:00pm - Monday to Sunday.

GoAir ties up with IMFF for a unique management film fest in Delhi

GoAir, India’s smart fare airline, has tied-up with International Management Film Festival for a unique film fest in India. The key objective of this film festival is to explore the art, science and spirit of creativity at work. This unique film festival based on management films will be held in Delhi on October 3, 2007. International Management Film Festival (IMFF) is very popular as a method of learning & expression. Such films festivals are being organized in various countries across the world. The IMFF in India will be screening "World-Class Management Films" with the objective of enhancing audience interaction.

Jet Airways to introduce daily flights to Colombo from Delhi & Mumbai effective November 5, 2010

Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, today announced that it will introduce daily direct flights to Colombo from Mumbai and Delhi, effective November 5, 2010. The airline will deploy a state-of-the-art 170-seater Boeing 737-800 for the service to this SAARC country.
Flight 9W 256 will depart Mumbai daily at 0210 hours reaching Colombo at 0445 hours. On the return sector, flight 9W 255 will depart Colombo at 2020 hours and reach Mumbai at 2255 hours. On the Delhi-Colombo sector, flight 9W 257 will depart Delhi at 1330 hours and arrive Colombo at 1705 hours and on the return leg, 9W 258 will depart Colombo at 0750 hours and reach Delhi at 1130 hours.*
The introduction of the two new flights serving Sri Lanka and India, are in addition to the existing daily Chennal – Colombo service, with which the airline launched its international operations in 2004.

With this enhanced connectivity, commencing with the winter schedule Colombo will now be connected to Jet Airways’ two strategic hubs - Delhi and Mumbai. The airline will thus be able to offer its guests seamless connectivity through Mumbai and New Delhi onto several destinations across North America, Europe, as well as destinations across the Gulf, Middle East and Far East on the Jet Airways network.

Goair Reservation, Booking Payment Process

GoAir uses an internet based system for its flight reservation and inventory hosting. Customers can access GoAir's website at www.goair.in for making reservations, rebooking and checking flight schedules of GoAir. Customers can log on to GoAir's website, check for flight availability and applicable fares, select the flight and fares, agree to the airline terms and conditions, fill in the requisite customer details, complete the payment process and generate the itinerary/e-ticket once the travel confirmation is completed.

Customers can make their payment through their credit cards or through ICICI, SBI, AXIS and HDFC debit cards provided the cards are enabled for online transactions.

Customers can make reservations through our retail distribution network spread across select cities in India. Retail agents may charge a service fee (as set out below) for their services.

IndiGo offers a hold and pay facility for Customers who do not have credit cards. Customers can contact IndiGo Call Centre, or use our GRPS mobile device booking site, http://mobile.goindigo.in, to make a booking and hold it for 24 hours. During the hold period, Customers need to confirm the booking by paying in cash at one of our “hold and pay” agents, which includes IndiGo Airport counters and authorized travel agents who act as fulfillment centers (IndiGo Fulfillment Centers) for IndiGo. Please note that passengers can hold an IndiGo booking for a period of 24 hours from the time they make the booking and ‘hold and pay’ facility is not available for travel that commences within the next 48 hours of making the booking. In consideration of providing the ‘hold and pay’ facility, the IndiGo Fulfillment Centres will collect a charge at the rate of 6% on the base fare and applicable Surcharges as transaction fee. For bookings made using the GPRS mobile device, the payment has to be made at the IndiGo Airport Counters only.

What are the fare rules?

All our bookings have the same rules and conditions for ease of understanding. However, in certain select cases (for example, certain corporate houses etc.), IndiGo offers special fares and certain special privileges on those fares, at the time of making the booking (“Special Fares”). These Special Fares have terms and conditions attached to them. In the event that the booking is made on the Special Fares, except to the extent specified otherwise in the terms and conditions governing the Special Fares, the conditions of carriage of IndiGo shall apply in its entirety In the event of a conflict between a provision contained herein and in the terms and conditions attached to the Special Fares, the provision as contained in the latter shall prevail and take precedence.

Our fares are refundable, subject to the change or cancellation rules.

To secure the best price, it is recommended that you book well in advance of travel dates.

IndiGo offers all its fares on a one-way basis. All IndiGo fares are quoted in Indian Rupees (Rs or INR). Is it necessary to provide my mobile phone number while booking a flight on IndiGo?

IndiGo's preferred method of contact is via mobile phone and it is mandatory to provide your mobile number at the time of booking.   Customers can provide a residence or business phone number and valid e-mail ID as additional contact information. Providing IndiGo with your best contact number(s) will help us make contacting you easier. 

Will I receive a paper ticket? 

While you will be able to print your itinerary and confirmation number, it is important to note that IndiGo is a ticket-less airline.  The itinerary you print is not a ticket, and it does not constitute a contract of carriage. The booking in IndiGo's database is the primary record of carriage, and your confirmation number is your proof of payment. In the event of any differences between the itinerary and the booking in IndiGo's database, the database booking will be the reference point and shall prevail.  

Is an IndiGo booking transferable?
IndiGo bookings are not transferable. If someone other than the customer attempts to travel or to obtain a refund in connection with the booking, IndiGo shall not be liable to the customer so entitled if in good faith it provides carriage or makes a refund to the person presenting the itinerary.

Does IndiGo offer wait-listed or standby seats?
 
No, IndiGo does not offer wait-listed or standby seats. IndiGo's commitment to serve you with an efficient and precise service results in providing you with a confirmed seat on all IndiGo flights.

Does IndiGo offer special fares?
 
IndiGo offers everyday low fares and therefore does not offer special fares for families, children, senior citizens, foreign nationals or students. However, IndiGo offers discounts to serving and retired Armed Forces and Paramilitary Forces personnel and their families, subject to specific terms and conditions.

Kingfisher Airlines Baggage Allowance

Cabin Baggage
As per Government of India safety regulations only one hand baggage per Passenger will be allowed. The dimensions of the hand baggage should not exceed (L+B+H) - 55+35+25 totalling 115cms for Airbus aircrafts and (L+B+H) - 50+45+20 totalling 115cms for ATR Aircrafts. The weight of the hand baggage should not exceed 7 kgs. Strolley bags with above specified dimensions will be allowed.

Excess Baggage
The Free Baggage Allowance is effective only on sectors operated by us. Any excess baggage beyond the permissible Free Baggage Allowance will be charged at carriage rates that vary from sector to sector. These rates are available from us upon request.

Delayed / Missed Baggage
In a situation of misrouted baggage we will make every effort to locate and deliver your baggage to you as soon as possible. When misrouted baggage is tracked we attempt to deliver it at our expense at the time convenient to guests. Delivery of baggage for international destination in case of transit, may take some time considering the longer flight duration, availability of flights and custom and immigration procedures.

Guests can also use our Baggage tracer feature to track the progress of your reported lost baggage. Once you have logged a report for a missing bag and if you have a WorldTracer file number, you can track the progress of your report via this feature.

Kingfisher Travel Assistance

Documents
We urge our Kingfisher International guests to make sure that all documentation required for your journey is ready well in advance. In addition to visas/ passports/ ID proof some countries require additional documents such as health certificates. Visa processes too differ from country to country and you should check these beforehand.

Health

Before beginning your journey, you must ensure that you are in sound health to travel by flight over the requisite number of hours. In case you are carrying any specific medication, it must be accompanied by a prescription from your doctor. Plan to get a good night sleep prior to your flight as this has been shown to help to reduce stress and problems with jet lag.

Air India Business Class LTC- Executive

Air India introduces the Leave Travel Concession scheme in Business Class for travel on the Domestic network on the lines of LTC-80 fares offered in Economy Class.

The details of the Leave Travel Concession Scheme (LTC-EXECUTIVE) offered in Business Class are as under: -

Eligibility

Cancellation/Refund

Tickets booked under LTC Scheme are refundable. However Refund Fee of Rs. 100 per ticket will apply if cancelled at least 1hour prior to departure. Tickets cancelled less than 1hour prior to departure will be treated as no-show and No Refund of Fare will be permissible
