Kingfisher Airlines, India's only Five star airline rated by Skytrax, today announced the launch of eleven new flights on its domestic route network. In addition to expanding its route network, Kingfisher Airlines has just launched an exciting consumer offer aimed at incentivising guests to take more flights with Kingfisher Airlines and in return get complimentary tickets.
The new flights to be launched are:-
• New Delhi-Ranchi-Patna-New Delhi
Additional frequencies are being introduced on the following existing routes:-
• On the New Delhi-Amritsar-New Delhi route, a third late evening flight will be introduced
• On the New Delhi-Srinagar-New Delhi route, a second daily frequency is proposed to be added from March 7, 2011.
Other changes being introduced are:-
• IT 319 Mumbai-New Delhi / IT 320 New Delhi-Mumbai will now be operated using a dual class cabin which will offer the premium Kingfisher First service and the award winning Kingfisher Class service.
• Flights on the New Delhi-Guwahati-Imphal-Guwahati-New Delhi route will now operate on all 7 days of the week.
• The timings of the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar flight IT 3349 have been re-scheduled and this flight will now depart New Delhi at a more convenient time of 7:10am instead of 5:55am.
• The timings of the New Delhi-Jaipur-New Delhi flights have been re-scheduled to offer more convenient flight timing options.
Except where indicated otherwise, all these new flights will be launched and changes will be implemented with effect from March 1, 2011. The flights launching March 1, 2011 are open for sale from today.
Commenting on the launch of these new routes, Mr Manoj Chacko, Executive Vice President – Commercial, Kingfisher Airlines Limited said, "The launch of these eleven new flights will further strengthen our domestic route network and offer guests more flight options to choose from. Bookings for these flights are open from today. This is the fifth wave of launch of new flights since the onset of the winter 2010 schedule and coupled with the compelling consumer offer that has just been launched, we expect to ramp up our market share even more.”
Kingfisher Airlines had recently launched the fourth wave of new flights with the introduction of:-
• 2 new additional frequencies on the Mumbai-New Delhi-Mumbai route
• A convenient day-return flight on the Mumbai-Indore-Mumbai route.
• An additional frequency on the Mumbai-Chandigarh-Mumbai route.
• An additional frequency on the New Delhi-Lucknow-New Delhi route.
As part of the consumer offer launched by Kingfisher Airlines, all guests who book and travel before April 10, 2011 will become eligible to receive free award tickets depending on the number of flights flown and the class of travel.
